Wanderlust New Yorkers get Married in France

by | Oct 12, 2019

Katie and Harold absolutely love France and they love traveling. Which is why, in October, they decided to travel from New York to a village in the South of France to spend their important day with close friends and family.

Their venue, Château du Puits es Pratx, a beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel in Ginestas in the Cathare Country region. And the perfect location for everyone to stay together for the weekend and enjoy the moment.

And, they sure did. There was LOTS of dancing – including a wonderful father/daughter dance, a mother/son dance, and a traditional chair dance, known as the hora.

As well as being a glorious place to get married, France also holds special significance for the couple. The day after they officially started dating (after meeting at work), Katie went on a trip to Europe and in Paris brought home a lock for the pair to attach to a love lock bridge on Pont Notre-Dame.

Later, they went back to Paris where, on a surprise return to the bridge, Harold began his ‘well-rehearsed speech’ and asked Katie to be his forever date. A new lock on the bridge sealing the deal.

Nature, honesty, communication, adventure, fun, learning, snuggles and love. Katie and Harold have built their lives together around these things and we’re so honoured that we were chosen to capture their most amazing day.
