gay wedding videography: inspiring films
“The most important thing is love. It doesn’t matter in the slightest
whether that love is for someone of your own sex or not… It must
be understood that love comes first.”
Stephen Fry
I am passionate about capturing the connection, honesty, authenticity and emotion between two people in love and telling the beautiful story of their day.
From my home in Switzerland, I am well placed to cover proposals, elopements and high-profile and prestigious weddings or events throughout the world.
I have no filters or prejudices – I care about equality and that we all have the same choices.
I am proud to shoot same sex and LGBTQ+ weddings and wanted to share these stunning wedding films with you.
Ian and Brandon’s Swiss Wedding at Schloss Oberhofen
Ian and Brandon had the most wonderful wedding in Switzerland – including a trip to Jungfraujoch the day before their wedding. This is one of Europe’s highest train stations and a jewel in the crown of any visit to Switzerland.
Their wedding day started off with me filming the first moment they saw each other ahead of their ceremony. This was filmed in the lobby of the exclusive Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern. Together with photographer Rich Page, I helped them re-enact the first time they met for their First Look.
The rest of their day included a private boat ride across the gorgeous Lake Thun – known locally as Thunersee – to Oberhofen Castle.
With its medieval keep and lake tower, this 13th-century wedding venue is simply divine and such a romantic place to tie the knot.
Their personal vows were so beautiful and Brandon’s dad struggled to keep himself together when he read an excerpt from Richard Bach’s ‘The Bridge Across Forever’.
“A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to
fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step
out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved
for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be…”
and you can hear that in full here in their trailer.
Schloss Oberhofen was the first of ten venues the US couple looked at in Switzerland and they immediately fell in love with its charm — the lake, the surrounding mountains, the beautiful gardens, and rustic decor had them hooked.
Isa and Natascha’s French-inspired Austrian Wedding
This was a wedding I absolutely loved filming – I’ve worked with Isa and Natascha at several weddings in Vienna over the past few years and knew theirs would be amazing. I was so thrilled and honoured when they asked me to film their wedding
“We could not even imagine having anyone else there,” Natascha told me when I asked her why they chose me to capture their celebrations.
From the moment they met, Isa and Natascha knew they were meant to be together. In fact, in their first phone conversation they started to plan their wedding!
The couple love working together as a photography team and spend their free time planning their next venture. They love travelling and exploring together – relaxing and eating.
Isa and Natascha wanted their wedding to be as unpretentious as can be so chose Isa’s mom’s estate to say ‘We do’ – an extremely beautiful place with charm and chaos.
The bride and bride had a wonderful wedding day – so relaxed and carefree. Yet so romantic and heartfelt too. With a generous mix-up of several traditions integrated into a self-made ceremony.
They collected and dried rose petals from Isa’s Mom’s garden for people to throw as they walk out of the ceremony circle.

The same sex wedding of Roxy and Jody in Yorkshire, UK
Gorgeous brides Jody and Roxy tied the knot in Aldby Park – a stunning marquee country wedding estate based in the rolling North Yorkshire countryside near York.
Their humanist ceremony was stunning with the couple promising to ‘love, honour, care and laugh with each other always’.
One lovely idea was their personal ‘love boxes’ to each other – these contained their vows and their favourite wine and rum.. They will open these boxes again on their 10th Wedding Anniversary.
You can read more about Jody and Roxy’s wedding story here, or watch their film below.
Next year I cannot wait to film the same sex wedding of Lewis and Rob at the Corinthia Hotel in central London.
I would love to hear from you if you’re planning your wedding in 2020 too.
