Giessbach Wedding at one of Switzerland’s Most Spectacular Waterfalls
Devon and Sven love the outdoors and discovering new locations together. And, it was during a hike that they discovered their dream wedding venue – the Grandhotel Giessbach in Switzerland.
This glorious and historic Swiss wedding venue sits above Lake Brienz – just north of the Alps – in a secluded position surrounded by forest and alpine meadows.
Besides the hotel is a stunning, tumbling waterfall. Different paths follow the waterfalls, which can also be looked at from above during a cable car ride.
As Devon explains: “Sven and I were hiking in Hasliberg and there was a heavy rain in the evening. The next day I asked Sven to take me to a waterfall (so close that I could touch it).”
“He took me to the Giessbachfalle next to the Grandhotel Giessbach. We stayed and had coffee, then toured this historic hotel. I told Sven… ‘Let’s get married here’ and the rest is history.”
Their wedding in May was a wonderful day and I was delighted to capture the natural happiness and enjoyment of the day and this magical First Look moment.
